Financial Settings

Here you configure how Finansify displays amounts and handles currencies.

Go to Profile -> Settings -> Finance.

Primary currency

The primary currency is your "base" currency — it's used to display total balances, summaries, and comparisons. If you have transactions in different currencies, Finansify converts them to the primary currency for summary purposes.

Changing the primary currency

  1. In the Finance tab, select a new currency from the list
  2. Click Save
  3. Finansify recalculates all amounts in the background — this may take a moment (you'll see a progress bar)

Changing the primary currency is an operation that recalculates all your transactions, budgets, and other amounts. Wait until the process completes.

Additional currencies

In addition to the primary currency, you can enable additional currencies. This way, for each transaction you'll see the amount in both the original currency and converted to other currencies.

For example: if you have PLN as primary and EUR as additional, for a 100 EUR transaction you'll also see the conversion to PLN.

Adding a currency

  1. In the Finance tab, click Add currency
  2. Select a currency from the list

Free plan limit

On the Free plan, you can have 2 currencies total (primary currency + 1 additional).

Premium: On the Premium plan, there's no limit on the number of currencies.

Exchange rates

Finansify automatically fetches exchange rates and converts amounts. You don't need to manually enter rates — the system does it for you.

When a rate is not yet final (e.g., for the current day), the amount is marked as provisional — it will be updated once the official rate becomes available.
